Lure Information

Plug performance guide: Storm ThunderCrank 6cm and 8cm

Body length 6.2cm and 7.5cm
Weight 5/16oz and 3/8oz
Rattle? Yes
Material Hollow plastic
Working depth 3-5ft casting, 10ft+ trolling
I first tried the smaller 6cm size and was immediately impressed with its ability to catch perch and small pike when trolled, but it also fooled zander, chub and a salmon. The magic colour seems to be the Bluegill, the others all catch, but that pattern is the surest one. It sinks very slowly on the wire leader, for casting look for about 5ft maximum, but trolling gets it down to around 11ft on 10lb PowerPro. I was eager to try the larger 8cm size, hoping for more trolling depth, and it does run a little deeper. In use the
8cm has caught zander and pike pretty well, but seems to lack the astonishing magic of its baby brother.
