Lure Information

Plug performance guide: Musky Innovations 9" Bulldog

Body length 9" (11" with tail extended)
Weight 4.25oz
Rattle? No
Material Soft Rubber
Working depth From about 4ft downwards
Soft rubber sinking lure with built-in jig-head, count it down and crank it back steadily. For pike, the pike's teeth mean this lure needs regular repairs. The newer version, introduced in 2004 quickly got a reputation for not being so good as the old type (pictured), so Musky Innovations have introduced a new 'Uptown Dawg' which looks like the original with the same tail, but has the improved solid-wire hook hangers. I have caught just fine with the new type, but it runs slightly deeper than the old version and needs to fished with the rod tip a little higher for the same speed of retrieve.
